Originally from North Wales, Helen Merrick lives in the UK Midlands with her family. Teacher by day, cinema projectionist by night, she writes short stories based on life and imagination.
Helen’s microfiction, Good Time Blues, scooped 2nd prize in the Storiesspace.com Dirty Martini competition and her flash fiction, Gwen, was published in issue 23 of Open Pen London’s magazine. She has also had work published online at The Drabble, Paragraph Planet and Every Day Fiction.
She is currently working on a novella and more short stories.
